Healthcare Foundation -- Northern Sonoma County

Serving the communities of Windsor, Healdsburg, Geyserville, & Cloverdale

About the Healthcare Foundation

Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization established in May 2001 to raise funds in support of quality healthcare services for all residents of the Northern Sonoma County Health District—essentially all who live or work in the communities of Windsor, Healdsburg, Geyserville, Cloverdale, and north to the Mendocino County line.

We award grants to organizations which support our goal to expand access to quality healthcare and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all residents of the District.

The Foundation is volunteer-led and governed by a Board of Directors comprised of leading members of our community with experience in medicine, health, finance, government, business, and community leadership. The Board sets the goals and policies related to the Foundation’s mission of raising funds in support of healthcare in northern Sonoma County including funds necessary to the development, implementation and protection of such projects.

The entire Board and/or its various committees, address the issues of operational spending, grant review, management, investment, and governance. The Directors also work with the Foundation staff to craft the organization’s code of ethics and manage the internal/external audit processes—all of which help to ensure greater transparency of and accountability for the Foundation’s work within our community.
